I am curious about a few things with mobile CB amps. How much power can you
run with without hurting the receiving radio? Also, do amps ever hurt the
transmitting radio, say for instance if you run a smaller amp that only
needs 1-4w input power and you do not modify your transmitting radio and
simply 'plug n play' the amp to the radio, what are possibly problems here
or are there any?
Also, as a side-note, does anyone know how to fix the Cobra 18 WX ST radio
when the weather channels are the only thing that works any longer on the
radio. A good friend of mine has this radio and it has worked fine for
years, no modifications done to it even, but now the CB channels no longer
transmit/receive a signal but when switched to the weather channels they
still work perfectly. Any ideas?
